It’s another RRG round-up, leaner and meaner with all the gooey fat trimmed off nice and neat. Your favorite lipo doctor is probably mad jealous at my online sculpting skills! Join in as I rejuvenate your bored pupils with a few quick bits, immerse your eyes with these linky links and give your self a boost, better than anything Botox can pack in a box! There is only one way to give your browser that much needed jolt of life, and that’s by staying tuned to us here at Really Really Good!

The doctor will see you now!

Since you're reading this little missive, I assume you managed to keep all your fingers after the fireworks were lit. I am also assuming that you did not burn your house down and that you are sitting in your fire free pad as we speak, surfing the net spark free. Congrats, I’m sure at least one of my readers will have some sort of horrible story about how and when their 4th of July celebrations went wrong. Here's hoping your firework weekend was safe and sound!

If you live in LA, you really didn’t have to leave your house to see or hear some amazing displays. It seemed like every block had their own private fireworks show happening, as I traveled from The Valley to the LAX area clear, and Downtown. There were impressive shows lined up everywhere, but I ended up at one of my favorite Friday night spots, The Airliner for Urban Underground.

U.U. has returned to The Airliner after briefly switching up locations. It seems that a permit issue is the main cog in the wheel of this LA Hip-Hop weekly, as DJ Leviathan and JiJi were forced to stop holding performances on the outside stage of the club. If you’ve been to U.U., then you know that the outside stage is where all the headliners usually perform. Rap legends from Flipmode Squad (minus Bussa Bus), Souls Of Mischief, Killer Priest, Canibus, Peanut Butter Wolf, 2MEX, Planet Asia, and Prodigal Sunn are just a few who have all rocked said stage. Since part of it is outdoors, there have been issues with sound. The crew crashed the party around Downtown L.A. for a while, but they are now back in the old spot, using the upstairs stage as the main room.

I hit up U.U. for the Fourth, to catch a few Hip-Hop giants for Independence Day. POW Shadowz, DJ Lord Ron, and DJ Leviathan held down the spot as usual, as the night was capped with performances by Copywrite and Sadat X. J Rawls was in the house, holding it down on the turntables for both acts as well! Copywrite ripped it and had his local fans in the place going wild, as he flipped some of his new material. The headlining act was none other than Sadat X of Brand Nubian fame. The Wild Cowboy did his thing and brought New York vibes to Cali! His unmistakable voice still rings clear, and hearing him rock some of his classic verses live was a great way to spend the holiday!
