Another one bites the dust, but this one meant more to me.
Two rather large bits of news dropped on January 7th. The first is that UGO has bought 1up.com and its associated sites (GameVideos.com, MyCheats.com, and GameTab.com). Though some of the staff has been let go as a result of the buyout, the site will remain and supposedly get a boost from the services and financing this deal will provide. The other...
Board Game Review: War on Terror

War on Terror the board game....could be great, but right now it's only decent.
When I received War on Terror to review I was rather pleased. I could tell by the way it was described on their website that the sarcastic satirical nature of the game would suit me and my friends. We were veterans of Nuclear War and its sequel Nuclear Escalation, and a myriad of similar games, as well as everything from Stratego to Avalon Hill...
PlayStation 3 Review: Legendary

There's certainly nothing memorable here, it's not even legendarily bad.
It seems as though all too often a great idea for a video game becomes a less than amusing game. Ideas are, sadly, sometimes hard to translate from paper to bits and bytes. As a case in point, take the recent PlayStation 3 release Legendary.Legendary sounds like it could be a great game – it starts with the player opening Pandora's Box...
Two new entries for the Wii Shop Channel help kick of 2009, including ... sand castle building?
Welcome to 2009, fellow gamers! Hopefully, this year will be as good a year to us as last year was, especially on the Wii Shop Channel. Sure, some weeks were slow, but WiiWare got off to a solid start and the Virtual Console kept churning out good retro games. In the end, we got a bunch of great games and there's no signs of that slowing down...
Use your rescued comrades and various items to solve puzzles and escape.
